Bharatiya Janata Party’s national president, JP Nadda, didn’t hold back in his criticism of the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party, pointing out the prevalence of corruption allegations among their leaders. According to Nadda, a significant portion of these leaders find themselves either behind bars or out on bail. He contrasted this with the ethos PM Modi has instilled, emphasizing a shift towards a politics centered on development rather than personal gains.
During a road show in Puducherry, Nadda questioned the legal status of several prominent opposition figures, including Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal and Chidambaram. Nadda added, ‘Aadhe jail mein hain, aadhe bail par hain’ (half are in jail and half are on bail).
Nadda further underscored the transformative impact of PM Modi’s leadership over the past decade, asserting that it has fundamentally altered the dynamics of Indian politics. He cited a departure from divisive practices that characterized previous administrations, particularly those led by the Congress.
Recent legal proceedings involving Arvind Kejriwal and Sanjay Singh were also brought into focus, adding a layer of complexity to the unfolding political narrative, especially in the context of the impending elections.
Overall, Nadda’s remarks shed light on the evolving political landscape in India, where issues of corruption, accountability, and governance continue to shape the discourse as the country gears up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
