Himachal Congress Gathers To Boost Cadre Strength, New Co-Incharge Joins

The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) held a state executive meeting aimed at strengthening its party structure and enhancing coordination between the party and the state government. The meeting, which took place on Monday, also served as an opportunity to welcome and honor the newly appointed All India Congress Committee (AICC) co-incharge for Himachal Pradesh, Vidit Chaudhary, according to a party release.

State Congress President Pratibha Singh emphasized the significance of the meeting in fostering collaboration between party members and the government. She introduced the new co-incharge to the party leadership, stating, “Today, our co-incharge, who is newly appointed by the party, has joined us. We called this general house meeting, despite challenges like the rain, to ensure organisational work continues. Our aim is to strengthen the party by working in harmony with the government, assigning responsibilities to our officers, and ensuring active participation.”

Singh also noted that the government is paying attention to the party’s needs and praised the coordination between the organisation and the government. “The government is paying attention to this, and there is strong coordination between the organisation and the government. The Chief Minister has provided his full cooperation, and we are confident that in the coming years, we will strengthen the Congress and go to the public with our achievements,” she added.

Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh highlighted the need to inspire the party cadre and prepare for the 2027 elections by energizing the organization at the grassroots level. He welcomed Vidit Chaudhary into his new role and emphasized the party’s focus on future political battles. “Today, our new in-charge, Vidit Chaudhary Ji, has come here. He has been entrusted with new responsibilities, and the general public, as well as the party, warmly welcomes him. Although the next elections are in 2027, we need to start working now by reaching every assembly constituency, and revitalising communication within the party. There is a pressing need to bring youth into the fold and advance the organisation with renewed strength. We are committed to this effort and will strive to fortify the party in the time ahead,” he said.

The meeting represents a crucial step for the Congress in Himachal Pradesh as it aims to lay a solid foundation for future political campaigns by focusing on unity within the organisation and close coordination with the government, the release added.
