The high mood of a cheerful event in the arrival of the MLA-elect Shivaji Patil from the Chandgad constituency was marred by a fire that broke out. The incident, which took place on Saturday night, has injured the politician and his supporters.
A ceremonial aarti took place that led to the incident. A viral video captured that instant by which the yellow (colored powder) combined the JCB enormous amount, colored powder was combined with the flames of the aarti. The flaming inferno was so large that Shivaji Patil and several other women who were there were burned.
Shivaji Patil has recently achieved a landslide victory against NCP candidate Rajesh Patil in the Chandgad constituency. Shivaji Patil’s margin of victory was of 84,254 votes over 60,120 votes of Rajesh Patil, which means a difference of more than 24,000 votes. The victory was more meaningful because in 2019 Rajesh Patil had overflowed the 2019 outcome, by beating Shivaji Patil by over 4,000 votes.
After the incident, Shivaji Patil and female aides were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Patil as well as some of his supporters who were present at the scene of the accident suffered from burn injuries that are the main injury pattern in these cases. This sudden change in the history of the celebration which was intended to be the night of glory is the factor that seized the mood of the ceremony.
