He remarked, “When the country was celebrating 25 years of the Constitution, at the same time, the Constitution in our country was destroyed. An Emergency was declared, democratic institutions were dismantled, the country became a prison, citizens’ rights were confiscated, and press freedom was suppressed. This sin on Congress’s forehead can never be wiped away. ”

PM Modi further criticized the Congress’s legacy, asserting, “One family of Congress did everything possible to undermine the Constitution. I am referring to that one family because in our 75 years of progress, they governed for 55 years. Therefore, the country deserves to know what transpired. The pattern of this family’s misguided thoughts and poor policies is ongoing constantly. This family has consistently challenged the Constitution on every level. ”

He accused the Congress leadership of persistently damaging the Constitution, referencing actions taken by Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi during their times as prime ministers, indicating that the “family, having ‘tasted blood,’ continuously inflicted wounds on the Constitution. ”
