‘All we’ve done till now is just a trailer’ addresses PM Modi rally in Rajasthan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted during a rally in Rajasthan’s Churu that the accomplishments of his government at the Centre over the past decade are merely a preview of what lies ahead. He likened these achievements to an appetizer before the main course, indicating that there is more to come in the future.

PM Modi emphasized the significant transformation witnessed by the country during his tenure, stating, “All we’ve done till now is just a trailer.” He compared these developments to appetizers served in restaurants, implying that they precede the main course, symbolizing the progression of the nation. Moreover, PM Modi campaigned for paralympic gold medalist Devendra Jhajharia, who will contest the Churu Lok Sabha seat on behalf of the BJP, replacing two-time MP Rahul Kaswan, who defected to the Congress after being denied the BJP ticket.

In a critique directed at the Congress, PM Modi attributed the economic downturn to the “scams and corruption” perpetrated by the party. He highlighted India’s remarkable development trajectory under the BJP’s governance, contrasting it with the stagnation witnessed during Congress’s tenure. PM Modi emphasized the unique resolve of the Indian populace, asserting that India’s exceptional progress is rooted in its distinctive soil. He underscored the significance of Rajasthan’s development in driving the nation’s overall progress.

Taking a veiled swipe at the Congress, PM Modi emphasized the BJP’s commitment to fulfilling its promises, contrasting it with other parties’ manifesto releases. He highlighted the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ as a testament to its dedication, noting that most of the resolutions outlined in the 2019 manifesto have been realized.

Meanwhile, the Congress released its manifesto, prioritizing addressing unemployment and safeguarding India’s constitutional values. The manifesto promises investigations into various schemes introduced by the BJP, aiming to hold accountable those who illicitly profited from them. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge emphasized the manifesto’s focus on justice for various segments of society, including youth, women, farmers, workers, and shareholders. Additionally, the Congress pledged to reserve 50 percent of Union government jobs for women from 2025.

Rajasthan is set to conduct its elections in two phases, on April 19 and April 26, covering all 25 Lok Sabha constituencies. The general elections, spanning 543 Lok Sabha seats, will commence on April 19 and conclude on June 4, with nearly 97 crore eligible voters participating in the democratic process.
