Ahead of Lok Sabha election PM Modi scheduled to start 10 day visit to various states

Leading up to the eagerly awaited Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is preparing for a 10-day journey encompassing 12 states and union territories, engaging in a total of 29 programs. The comprehensive itinerary spans visits to Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Delhi. The central objective is to connect with voters and generate momentum for the impending parliamentary polls.

Here is the detailed schedule for the 10-day expedition:

  • March 4: Modi’s visit to Telangana involves unveiling various development projects in Adilabad, followed by a public meeting. Subsequently, he will proceed to Tamil Nadu’s Kalpakkam, visiting Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI) and addressing a public meeting in Chennai.
  • March 5: On the second day, Modi will participate in multiple programs and inaugurate projects in Telangana’s Sangareddy, along with a public address. He will then travel to Odisha, inaugurating, dedicating, and laying the foundation stone for various development projects in Chandikhole, Jajpur, followed by a public address in Chandikhole. Later in the day, he will depart for West Bengal.
  • March 6: In Mamata Banerjee’s stronghold, West Bengal, Modi will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for diverse projects worth Rs. 15,400 crore, including the Kolkata Metro’s Howrah Maidan-Esplanade Metro section in Kolkata. He will also address a public meeting in Barasat. Later, he will proceed to Bihar for inauguration programs in Bettiah.
  • March 7: Modi will visit the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, addressing a public rally at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar. This marks his first visit to the Kashmir valley since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. Subsequently, he will attend a media event in New Delhi.
  • March 8: Participating in the inaugural National Creator’s Award in Delhi, announced in his Mann ki Baat episode. Later, he will travel to Assam for various development programs.
  • March 9: In Arunachal Pradesh, Modi will inaugurate the Sela Tunnel in West Kameng and attend launch programs in Itanagar. He will then proceed to Assam, unveiling the statue of Lachit Barphukan in Jorhat, laying the foundation stone for multiple development projects. Later in the day, he will visit West Bengal to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for various development projects in Siliguri, followed by a public address.
  • March 10: Modi will travel to Uttar Pradesh for several programs in Azamgarh, a stronghold of the Samajwadi Party.
  • March 11: In the national capital, Modi will attend ‘Namo Drone Didi’ and ‘Lakhpati Didi’ programs. Later, he will inaugurate the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway and attend a DRDO event in the evening.
  • March 12: Visiting Gujarat’s Sabarmati, then heading to Rajasthan for a tour of Pokhran in Jaisalmer district.
  • March 13: In the final leg, Modi will lay the foundation stone for three semiconductor projects in Gujarat and Assam via video conferencing. This will be followed by an outreach program for disadvantaged sections of society.

PM Modi has been actively unveiling a series of development projects across the nation, emphasizing his government’s development and welfare agenda in the lead-up to the general elections scheduled for April-May. Meanwhile, the BJP has released its long-awaited first list of 195 candidates for the parliamentary polls, featuring prominent figures like PM Modi from Varanasi and Amit Shah from Gujarat’s Gandhinagar.
