Before the implementation of the code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections, the Bhajan Lal government started a series of political appointments.
The first appointment has been given to senior party leader Omkar Singh Lakhawat. This marks his first political appointment within the government. Earlier, during Vasundhara Raje’s tenure, Lakhawat was also appointed as the Chairman of the same authority.
Orders were issued by the government on Wednesday in this regard, and immediately after that, Lakhawat assumed his responsibilities by reaching the secretariat.
Meanwhile, after the appointment of Omkar Singh Lakhawat as the Chairman of the Rajasthan Heritage Conservation Authority, congratulatory messages and wishes started pouring in from several leaders associated with the BJP.
Many BJP members started extending their best wishes to him through social media and personal interactions, acknowledging his new responsibilities. He has held several important positions within the BJP organisation and is recognised for his knowledge of history.
Adjustments for senior workers
The government plans to make adjustments by providing appointments to senior workers and officials before the Lok Sabha elections.
Additionally, those leaders who have not been given tickets for the legislative assembly elections may also receive appointments soon. This strategic move is aimed at benefiting the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
