In a significant crackdown on illicit activities, Jammu police have taken decisive action against the drug trade by attaching two luxurious residential properties valued at crores of rupees.

The properties, located in the Rajeev Nagar area of Bahu Fort, belong to a couple identified as Reena and Pal Singh along with his wife Seema. According to police sources, these residences have been flagged as unlawfully obtained from the proceeds of drug trafficking.
Under the provision of section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the authorities executed the attachment of these properties as part of their ongoing investigation into illegal drug activities.

Ajay Sharma, Superintendent of Police South Jammu said, “The residential houses were identified as illegally acquired properties during the course of investigation.” He further elaborated, “The property was prima facie acquired from the proceeds of illicit trafficking in narcotic and psychotropic substances by the owners who are named in five FIRs at Bahu Fort police station between 2017 and 2023.”

This move underscores the unwavering commitment of law enforcement agencies in tackling the drug menace head-on. It sends a clear message that no illicit activity will be tolerated, and those involved will face the full force of the law.
The seizure of these high-value properties marks a significant victory in the battle against drug trafficking, affirming the determination of authorities to root out such criminal enterprises from society.
