Starting a commendable initiative, the Police Commissioner has issued orders to provide tea on the spot to the police personnel patrolling at night during the winter season. Police Commissioner Panchkula Shivas Kaviraj said that the police remain on duty day and night to maintain security and law and order in the district, and constant patrolling is done at night with tight security. The same police blockade is set up at different places, especially on weekends, to ensure law and order is maintained. Due to this, police personnel remain ready for duty day and night, even in rain or cold.
The Police Commissioner mentioned that it has been very cold due to a cold wave and fog for the past few days. Police personnel are deployed on duty in these cold conditions. Taking cognizance of their situation, under the leadership of Inspector Welfare, during night blockade and patrolling from around 10 pm to 4 am, all the police personnel are provided with tea mixed with cloves, cardamom, ginger, etc., along with food.
