In observance of the Police Memorial and Flag Series, a range of tribute events have been organized by the Panchkula Police Department from October 21 to October 31. Under the directions of Police Commissioner Shibas Kaviraj, Deputy Commissioner of Police Himadri Kaushik, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime & Traffic) Virendra Sangwan, these events honor fallen officers through educational and commemorative activities.
On October 26, DAV Public School, located within the Panchkula Police Line complex, hosted a painting competition in memory of the martyrs. Students participated by creating artworks inspired by the lives and contributions of the officers, with Welfare Inspector Vikas, Assistant Sub-Inspector Rameshwar Das, and other police personnel present.
A weapons exhibition followed on October 28 at the district police line, led by District Armory In-charge ASI Satbir, where students observed and learned about various police weapons, including rifles, pistols, and Sten guns. Officers explained each weapon’s use and functionality, emphasizing safety measures and legal guidelines. Students engaged actively, asking questions and receiving insights into proper weapon handling and the role of law enforcement tools.
DAV Public School also organized a second painting competition, again focusing on honoring the martyrs, which drew enthusiastic participation from students.
