FIR registered against a drone operator for illegally using a drone that captured Munawar Faruqui’s celebration with fans in Mumbai’s Dongri.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against a drone camera operator who was using it to capture Faruqui’s Bigg Boss 17 victory celebration as per a report published in Free Press Journal, said Hindustan Times.

A huge crowd was present in Dongri to celebrate his win. He had also bought his trophy as he stood on the sunroof of his car.

According to the same report, constable Nitin Shinde, who was patrolling with PSI Tausif Mulla, first spotted Munawar Faruqui’s fan, identified as Arbaaz Yusuf Khan (26). After confronting the drone operator, who lacked authorization to use the drone during the celebration in Dongri, Mumbai, the police reportedly reported the incident to the police station. Additionally, it is said that the cops seized the drone camera.

According to reports, a case has been filed for violating the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s directives, which prohibit using drones without authorization. Previously, with the public’s safety in mind, the police had banned flying objects, including drone cameras. The only exceptions are when police use drones for aerial surveillance purposes or when the deputy commissioner of police specifically authorizes it in writing.

The 17th season of Bigg Boss saw the victory of comedian Munawar Faruqui. Thousands of his followers greeted him warmly at Dongri in Mumbai. He was spotted in a video opening his car’s sunroof and just standing there. A sea of people congregated around his vehicle. He was spotted hoisting his Bigg Boss trophy, which he briefly revealed.

The reality show winner also gestured at them to cheer for him. His fans shouted, tried to shake his hands, click pictures and greet him. Munawar greeted them with folded hands and thanked them for their support.

Earlier, Munawar had shared a picture with the Bigg Boss 17 host Salman Khan. His post read , “Bohot bohot shukriya janta. Aapke pyaar aur support ke liye aakhir kar trophy Dongri aa hi gayi (A lot of thanks, people. With your love and support, the trophy finally reached Dongri).” He also added, “Special thanks to bade Bhai (big brother) @beingsalmankhan sir for all your guidance… We have done it.”
