Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation through ‘Mann Ki Baat’ where he said that the ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ being celebrated on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of independence is taking the form of a mass movement.

Interacting with the countrymen, the Prime Minister referred to the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and urged people to be a part of this movement by hoisting the tricolor in their homes from August 13 to 15. Meanwhile, PM also paid tribute to many martyrs including Shaheed Udham Singh during the program.

The Prime Minister, at the beginning of his address, saluted the warriors of the country and mentioned the various programs being organized across the country under the ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ campaign. PM Modi said, “I am very happy to see that ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is taking the form of a mass movement. People from every section of the society are participating in different programs related to it.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi also talked about the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program and said that under the Amrit Mahotsav, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program is being organized from August 13 to 15 and appealed to hoist tricolor in their homes.

Similarly, from August 2 to 15, one can put the tricolor on the social media profile. The day is also associated with Pingali Venkaiah Naidu as his birth anniversary falls on 2nd August.
