Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the highly anticipated International Telecommunication Union – World Telecommunication Standardisation Assembly (ITU-WTSA) 2024 at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Tuesday. This is a historic event, as India and the Asia-Pacific region host ITU-WTSA for the very first time, attracting over 3,000 industry leaders, policy-makers, and tech experts from 190 countries.

The ITU-WTSA conference, held once every four years, serves as a crucial platform for setting global standards in telecom and digital technologies. This year’s focus includes discussions on the future of critical innovations like 6G, AI, Big Data, and cybersecurity. India Mobile Congress 2024: Innovation on Display
Alongside ITU-WTSA, PM Modi will also launch the 8th edition of India Mobile Congress (IMC), Asia’s largest digital technology forum, under the theme ‘The Future is Now’. This year’s event will spotlight India’s thriving innovation ecosystem, showcasing advancements in Quantum Technology, Circular Economy, and more. With over 400 exhibitors and 900 startups from 120 countries, the congress promises to be a dynamic showcase of technological breakthroughs, including over 900 use cases and more than 100 interactive sessions led by global and Indian speakers.
India’s burgeoning digital landscape and innovative startups will get critical insights into Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and patents, further strengthening its position as a global tech leader. The event is set to drive forward the country’s ambitions to become a hub for next-generation technologies and foster greater international collaboration.
