Inaugurating the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ahmedabad on January 8 for a two-day visit.

This time, the summit’s theme is “Gateway to the Future,” and it will take place on January 10 and 12. The summit celebrates the achievements of Vibrant Gujarat over the past ten years. Several international dignitaries, including Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates, would be present at the investment forum, according to PM Modi.

“Landed in Ahmedabad a short while ago. Over the next two days, will be taking part in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit and related programmes. It is a matter of immense joy that various world leaders will be joining us during this summit. The coming of my brother, Mohamed Bin Zayed, is very special. I have a very close association with the Vibrant Gujarat Summit and I am glad to see how this platform has contributed to Gujarat’s growth and created opportunities for several people” PM Modi said in a post X.

On the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, Australian High Commissioner Philip Green says, “We are really excited about Vibrant Gujarat. I will be leading the Australian delegation. We have dozens of Australian exhibitors. We have a beautiful exhibition point. Inauguration of the first foreign branch campus ever in India. Deakin University from Australia will be opening its foreign branch campus in India, it will be opened for Indian students in the middle of this year. We would like to invest in Education, Agri-tech, Infrastructure and tech of all sorts will be interesting for us…”

During the second day of his three-day visit to Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a hectic schedule. According to his office, he is set to arrive at the Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar at 9:30 am for bilateral meetings with world leaders, followed by discussions with the CEOs of major global corporations.

Later in the day, around 3 pm, Modi will inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show. In the evening, a 3-km roadshow in Ahmedabad is scheduled with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit will be inaugurated by the PM on Wednesday.

The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, initiated by Modi during his tenure as the state’s leader, is being held after five years. It served as a crucial platform for the government to engage with international leaders and businesses, attracting investments to the state. While it contributed to shaping the narrative of the Gujarat growth model, questions persist about its applicability as a national model.
