As the NDA government led by Narendra Modi, is set to form the government, here are the available details regarding the swearing-in ceremony.
The ceremonial formation of the new government will start with swearing-in-ceremony, which will start on Sunday, June 9 at 7:15 PM.
The ceremony will be aired live by News channels. In addition, it will also be live streamed on YouTube and other social media sites.
Around 8,000 dignitaries including foreign leaders, are expected to attend the ceremony.
However, NDA leader Narendra Modi has specially invited leaders of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and Mauritius through phone call.
These guests list reflect India’s principle of ‘Neighbourhood First Policy’ and ‘SAGAR’ vision.
Meanwhile, the multi-layered security will be implemented at Rashtrapati Bhawan, which will include deployment of five companies of paramilitary personnel, NSG commandos, drones, and snipers.
In addition, no-fly zone has been declared over national capital Delhi. Thus, banning the use of different aerial platforms to deter potential threats from criminal or terrorist activities during the event.
This restriction will be enforced from June 9 to June 10, and violators will be subjected to penalties as per Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
Moreover, due to ceremony, Rashtrapati Bhavan will be closed for visitors from June 5 to June 9.
