PM Modi Lays Wreath At Tomb Of Unknown Soldier In Moscow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi places a wreath at the tomb of Unknown soldier in Moscow during his Russia visit on Tuesday.

In this tomb, PM Modi offered tribute to unnamed soviet soldier, who sparred with axis forces during World War 1.

Meanwhile on his Russian visit, the prime minister Narendra Modi met country’s president Vladimir Putin. During his interaction, he asked russian president to discharge Indian soldiers from russian amidst Russia Ukraine conflict.

In his visit, he also interacted with Indian community and declared that with him, he has brought the love of 140 crore Indians.

During his address to Indian community, he called Russia a ‘trusted friend’, who has remained ‘India’s partner in happiness and sorrow.’

Later, PM Modi also made a reference of an iconic Bollywood raj Kapoor song ‘Sar pe laal topi Rusi phir bhi dil hai hindustani’ song. He also gave credit to actor Raj Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty for enhancing the relationship between two countries.

Moreover, during his address, PM Modi has also announced the opening of two more consulates in Kazan and Yekaterinburg. As per him, these consulates will play an important role in boosting the travel and trade with the country.

Currently, India has consulates in St Petersburg and Vladivostok.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Russia for 22nd India-Russia Annual summit. After completing his Russia trip, the prime minister will visit Austria on July 9. Which will be first visit made by an Indian PM after 41 years.
