Before the Lok Sabha elections, an inauguration ceremony for the ERCP-PKC project is set to take place. There is a possibility that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may be invited to this event. The inauguration ceremony may be jointly held for Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, and the venue for this event will be decided accordingly.
During the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi may address a large public gathering, with people from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in attendance. This move is expected to benefit the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
According to Cabinet Minister and veteran leader of Eastern Rajasthan Kirori Lal Meena, he has requested Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to invite Prime Minister Modi to the inauguration ceremony of the project. He also suggested organizing a large public gathering for the occasion.
The ERCP-PKC project in Rajasthan aims to provide drinking water and irrigation water to 13 districts. These districts include Jhalawar, Baran, Kota, Bundi, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, Dholpur, Bharatpur, Dausa, Alwar, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Tonk.
Additionally, these 13 districts comprise 9 Lok Sabha seats. The BJP aims to implement this project to benefit the Lok Sabha constituencies of Jaipur Rural, Dausa, Alwar, Bharatpur, Tonk-Sawai Madhopur, Ajmer, Baran-Jhalawar, Kota-Bundi, and Dholpur-Karauli.
The MOU for the ERCP-PKC project was signed between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in Delhi on Sunday. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav agreed to the terms in the presence of Union Minister for Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
Following this agreement, the dream of supplying water to densely populated areas by connecting the Chambal, Parvati, and Kalisindh rivers will be realized. This project will directly benefit a total of 26 districts in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
