PM Modi holds telephonic conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu:"People of India stand firmly with Israel"

In the midst of Israel’s ferocious assault on Gaza in response to the Haas terror attacks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke by phone with his counterpart Benjamin Netenyahu on Tuesday and reaffirmed his support for the nation’s citizens.

Taking to his official handle on X, PM Modi shared details of his conversation with Netanyahu, posting, “I thank Prime Minister @netanyahu for his phone call and providing an update on the ongoing situation. People of India stand firmly with Israel in this difficult hour. India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.”

On Saturday, expressing solidarity with Israel in the wake of the deadly rocket strikes by Hamas, Prime Minister Modi said his thoughts and prayers, and that of his fellow countrymen, were with the innocent victims and their families.
“Deeply shocked by the news of terrorist attacks in Israel. Our thoughts and prayers are with the innocent victims and their families. We stand in solidarity with Israel at this difficult hour,” PM Modi posted on X.
Thanking PM Modi for his support, Israel’s Ambassador to India, Naor Gilon posted on X, “Thank you again PM @narendramodi-ji. Since we get SO MUCH support from our Indian brothers and sisters, I’m unfortunately unable to thank each and every one of you personally. Please accept this as my gratitude to all our friends.”

According to the most recent reports, over 2,616 Israelis have been injured and at least 900 Israelis have already died as a result of Hamas attacks. About 30 hostages have been held by Hamas in Gaza during the ongoing conflict, according to an IDF war update shared on X. Additionally, it noted that after approximately 4,500 rockets from Gaza were fired toward Israel, 1290 Hamas targets in Gaza were hit by Israeli defense forces. The Israeli Air Force is still heavily attacking numerous terrorist organizations’ targets in the Gaza Strip.
