At a rally in Garhwa, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led coalition government, branding it the “Ghuspaithiya Bandhan” (Infiltrators’ Alliance) and “Mafia Ka Ghulam” (Mafia’s Slave) for allegedly prioritizing Bangladeshi infiltrators over native citizens. Modi claimed the coalition’s policies were forcing local populations to migrate, weakening the tribal demographic in Jharkhand.
Modi accused the JMM, Congress, and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of “appeasement politics” and said it was threatening the tribal community by enabling the settlement of Bangladeshi infiltrators across Jharkhand. “Your vote against this coalition will challenge the mafia system they’ve created,” he urged voters, emphasizing that a BJP win would curb the influence of these groups.
The Prime Minister alleged that JMM and its allies were using Bangladeshi infiltrators as a “vote bank,” which he called a “serious threat to Jharkhand’s social structure.” He cited restrictions on religious events like Saraswati Vandana in schools and curfews during festivals, claiming these were results of the government’s skewed priorities.
Promises of Housing and Development Modi questioned the JMM-Congress government on the Abua Awas Yojana housing scheme, reiterating BJP’s pledge to build 21 lakh new homes in Jharkhand as part of a larger national plan for affordable housing. He assured voters that BJP’s “double-engine” government would accelerate development, with infrastructure and industrial support boosted by central backing.
The Prime Minister accused the Soren government of obstructing central projects meant to benefit Jharkhand, particularly those focused on farmers and local industries. He highlighted central efforts to improve road, rail, and gas pipeline connectivity, promising that a BJP-led state government would remove these hurdles for faster progress.
Warning Against ‘Rumour-Spreading’ Tactics PM Modi warned Jharkhand residents against what he described as “rumour-spreading” by political rivals, referencing a past claim by JMM that BJP’s PM-Kisan scheme was deceptive. He advised people to focus on verified information, especially regarding central welfare initiatives.
Commitment to Transparent Government Job Recruitment Modi highlighted BJP’s commitment to addressing unemployment, pledging that 3 lakh government positions in Jharkhand would be filled transparently. He assured voters that a BJP administration would work to ensure better living conditions and a brighter future for all.
Looking Toward the Upcoming Assembly Elections The Jharkhand Assembly elections, to be held in two phases on November 13 and 20, have BJP aiming to regain its 2014 momentum, when it won 37 seats. The results, set to be announced on November 23, will reveal if BJP’s promises resonate with Jharkhand’s voters.
