Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta stated that the dual governance system in Haryana has facilitated comprehensive development in the state, aligning with the vision of a Developed India and a Developed Haryana.

The inauguration of various development projects, valued at Rs 9770 crore, including the nation’s 22nd AIIMS, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday in Majra Bhalkhi village, Rewari district, is expected to further boost progress in the state.

Gianchand Gupta made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at a program held at the Indradhanush Auditorium in Sector-5 on Friday. Also in attendance during this event were Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan and the Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, Rekha Sharma.

During the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi live-streamed the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of AIIMS and various projects in Majra Bhalkhi village, Rewari district. In compliance with Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan’s directives, the district administration made suitable arrangements for live telecasting the ceremony at the Indradhanush Auditorium.

Emphasizing the connection between the developed city of Panchkula and the vision of Developed India-Developed Haryana, Speaker Gupta expressed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds a special affinity for Haryana, including Panchkula. Welcoming and extending congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Haryana’s soil, Gupta recalled Modi’s first public address in Rewari in 2013 when he was announced as the Prime Ministerial candidate by the Bharatiya Janata Party, specifically honoring ex-servicemen.
In a comparison between the decade before 2014 and the current government’s approximately 10-year tenure, the Assembly Speaker highlighted the rampant corruption and black marketing in food items during the previous government’s tenure.

He contrasted this with the last 10 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting significant progress towards prosperity and self-reliance. Gupta commended Modi for steering India towards self-sufficiency in defense equipment, transforming the country into a defense equipment exporter.

He underscored India’s economic rise to the fifth position globally and predicted its ascent to the third-largest economic power in the world. Gupta acknowledged the strengthened road, rail, and air connectivity in the country, creating new avenues for development. He concluded by stating that India has become a preferred destination for investment globally.
