A case of robbery involving Rs 95 thousand, where a pistol was allegedly placed on the temple of a salesman carrying cash late at night in Sector-25, has come to light. The salesman promptly informed the owner about the incident. Upon receiving the information, the teams from Chandimandir police station and the crime branch swiftly reached the scene to conduct an investigation. Chandimandir police have registered the case and initiated an investigation, as four robbers were reported to be involved.

According to the police, Rajkumar, a resident of Sector-19, reported that he has been working as a salesman in Sector-25 Wholesale Super Market for about two years. On Saturday night, like any other day, he closed his shop around 9:30 pm and was en route to his employer’s house in Sector-24 with the day’s earnings amounting to Rs 95,500. He had stored the money in the trunk of his Activa. Upon reaching the front of Sector-25 GST Bhawan at approximately 9:30 pm, two individuals were already standing at the turn. They approached him and halted his Activa. One of the individuals, wearing a helmet, brandished a pistol and aimed it at his temple, while the other revealed a knife from his top pocket and pressed it against his back.

Simultaneously, two more individuals arrived, muffling the victim’s mouth. One of them utilized a key to unlock the Activa’s trunk, removed the money, and then pushed the victim away before making a quick escape in a Maruti car and on a motorcycle. The victim promptly informed his employer, who, after arriving at the scene, reported the incident to the police.
