PHOTOS: Ram Mandir Flag Hoisting; Pictures Capture Iconic Moments Insight
The flag hoisting ceremony, known as Dhwajarohan, which formally marks the completion of the construction of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, is scheduled to take place on November 25, 2025.
The holy ritual, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is timed to take place at the most auspicious Abhijit Muhurat, considered the best time for any holy event.
While the exact window is different, the main events are focused on 12:00 PM IST, generally between 11:52 am and 12:35 pm. The astrological significance of the time is not accidental because the Abhijit Muhurat is traditionally associated with the birth of Lord Ram, and the entire event is being held on Vivah Panchami, the sacred day commemorating the marriage of Lord Ram and Mata Sita.
