The Horticulture Wing of the Engineering Department at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, has made the institute proud by winning top honors at the 52nd Rose Festival held from February 23rd to 25th, 2024, at Rose Garden, Sector-16, Chandigarh. Under the banner of Director PGI, the horticulture wing participated in the flower competition and emerged as the top position holder for the third consecutive year.

The Engineering Department’s horticulture wing showcased its exceptional talent and expertise in the competition, securing a total of 37 awards across various categories. Of these, 15 prizes were won in the Pot Section, while 22 were secured in the cut flower section. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the horticulture team at PGIMER.

The Rose Festival is a highly anticipated event in Chandigarh, attracting participants from various sectors to showcase their floral creations and compete for recognition and awards. The consistent success of the PGI horticulture wing highlights its commitment to excellence and its ability to create stunning floral displays that captivate visitors and judges alike.
