The 67th Annual Athletic Meet of Post-Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh, took place on Tuesday. The event commenced energetically with the inauguration led by Principal Prof. Anita Kaushal. Prof. Kaushal hoisted the college flag and received the salute from the colorfully attired marching contingents representing various academic streams.

Students who demonstrated excellence in national, state, and inter-university championships during the academic session lit the torch. Athletes pledged to compete with a sense of sportsmanship. The Closing Ceremony had Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh, as the Chief Guest.

During the event, the Principal presented the College Sports Report, emphasizing the remarkable achievements of students at the national and international levels. The Dance Department students showcased the winning performance of “Luddi,” which secured victories at the PU Zonal Youth Festival, Inter-zonal Festival, and the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik. Additionally, Yoga skills were demonstrated to promote awareness about physical fitness.

Congratulating the winners, Chief Guest Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, appreciated the students and faculty for their persistent efforts that led to outstanding achievements in sports. She commended the marching contingents for their impeccable synchronization and emphasized the importance of perseverance. Kaur encouraged the students to excel in their chosen fields, bringing honor to the institution and the country.
