As the Eid Milad un-Nabi procession passed through downtown Srinagar, the streets were packed with people. In Srinagar, the procession began at numerous mosques and moved through the streets.
On the auspicious day, people gathered in Srinagar at the Hazratbal shrine to do prayers. Streets near the paths of the parade were adorned with vibrant banners, flags, and lights.
Numerous people showed up to observe and take part in the action. The parade was a vivid demonstration of religious zeal. As they marched, worshippers chanted hymns, prayed, and read passages from the Holy Quran. Religiously themed banners and placards are frequently carried by demonstrators. Along with floats and decorated vehicles, the parade featured scenes from the Prophet’s life. These floats are decked with floral arrangements, lights, and symbols of religion.
People join the parade along the way as it progresses through the city, increasing its size. Participants expressed their love and admiration for the Prophet, and the atmosphere was one of joy and fervor.
Satnam Singh Sandhu, the convenor of the Indian Minorities Foundation (IMF), joined the Muslim community at Sabri Masjid earlier in the day on the occasion of Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi and participated in the mass prayers.
Thousands of Muslims, including IMF members, took part in the mass prayers that were held on this occasion. The members of the Indian Minorities Foundation later took part in the religious parade that was held to commemorate the day’s festivities.
Dr. Faizi stated during his participation in the panel discussion that Prophet Muhammad Sahab has always preached the message of peace, harmony, brotherhood, unity, and equality via his teachings. His beliefs regard all people to be equal and forbid any type of discrimination against people based on their faith, community, or any other criteria.
