Pension Restoration Struggle Committee Haryana is going to hold OPS Sankalp Maha Rally at Eklavya Stadium, Jind on the issue of OPS in which employees/officers of all the departments of the state will participate. State President Vijendra Dhariwal said that for the last one month, preparations for the rally are being made at the department, block and district level. More than one lakh people gathered in Jind Maharally and slogan of Vote for OPS will be raised. Earlier last year, on 19 February 2024, more than 70 thousand employees had reached Panchkula, an end of Haryana. After that, lakhs of employees took part in cycle yatra in June and at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on 1st October to show the strength of their numbers.
Pension Restoration Sangharsh Samiti Haryana has been continuously holding dharnas, demonstrations, rallies, hunger strikes for the last five years and endured water cannon, tear gas and lathi charge in Panchkula on 19th February. After which a three-member committee was also formed by the state government. After a committee meeting on March 3, no meeting was called by the government nor any proper step is being taken towards the restoration of OPS, due to which there is huge anger against the government among lakhs of employees and officers of the state.
State President of the committee, Vijendra Dhariwal said that the OPS movement is being strengthened at the village level in the state by the Pension Restoration Struggle Committee.
Teams have been formed in more than 5200 villages. If the government does not restore OPS in its last budget, then a campaign of Vote for OPS will be run by Sangharsh Samiti in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
While the government is giving the slogan of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, the employees are being given step-motherly treatment. Leaders are taking four pensions on being elected as MLAs and MPs even for a day and employees dedicate their entire life to the public in government service, yet they are being pushed to the market, which is never fair.
There is a lot of anger among all the employees of the state due to the negative attitude of the coalition government on the restoration of OPS and the promise made by the Deputy Chief Minister on the restoration of OPS, due to which an OPS mega rally will be organized at Eklavya Stadium in Jind on 11th February in which more than 1 lakh employees of the state and their Families will reach out and raise their voice.
