A team of CBI Officials on Monday, 6 March arrived at the residence of former CM of Bihar, Rabri Devi. The officails of the CBI is reportedly questioning Rabri Devi at her residence in Patna.
The former Chief Minister of the State is being questioned in connection with the alleged land-for-job ‘scam.’ As per initial reports, the officers of CBI were questioning Rabri Devi in connection with the India Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation scam case.
The case is related to alleged corruption in accepting land parcels gifted or sold to former railway minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family when he was the misnister of railways in between 2004 to 2009.
In February, Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi has issues a summons to former Union Railway Minister and RJD Chief, Lalu Prasad and his wife, Rabri Devi, daughter, Misa Bharti along with 13 others in connection with the aforesaid case.
In October 2022, the CBI has filed a charge sheet against Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, Misa Bharti along with 13 others in connection with the alleged scam.
The charge sheet reads that during the investigation, it was revealed that the accused in the alleged scam along with former GM Central Railways and CPO, Central Railways engaged persons as substitutes in lieu of land either in their name or in the name of their close relatives.
