The INDIA bloc party members who have been suspended will demonstrate on Tuesday morning in front of the Gandhi statue on the Parliament grounds in protest of both their suspension and the “security breach” incident.
The opposition MPs seem to be unflinching in their pursuit of a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah within the House following the December 13 security breach incident. According to sources, a demonstration in front of the statue of Gandhi is set to begin around 10.30 am.

The opposition’s demand for a statement from Union Minister Amit Shah regarding the event involving the breach of Parliament’s security led to the suspension of 78 MPs on Monday, 33 of whom were from the Lok Sabha and 45 of the Rajya Sabha. The “misconduct” of 11 more Rajya Sabha MPs was referred to the Privileges Committee, which has been ordered to report in three months. Thirty-four opposition MPs, including Congressmen Jairam Ramesh, KC Venugopal, and Randeep Singh Surjewala, were suspended for the bulk of the session. Till the panel submits its report, they have been placed on hold.

Opposition Members of Parliament were suspended for the remainder of the Winter Session for “misconduct” and disregarding the Chair’s directives. Opposition Members attacked the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday after the suspensions and called it “autocratic.” Kharge claimed that “democratic norms are being thrown into the dustbin by an autocratic Modi government by suspending 47 MPs.”

He said in a tweet on X (previously Twitter) that “the Modi government can now bulldoze important pending legislation, crush any dissent, without any debate.” He continued by saying that the opposition was calling for a debate in both chambers and a statement from Shah regarding the security breech.
