Manoranjan D was the mastermind behind the incident, according to a police source, one day after the five accused in the Parliament security breach were brought back to Delhi after undergoing polygraph, narco-analysis, and brain mapping tests. Lalit Jha was identified by the police as the mastermind of the December 13 incident.
Following their presentation before the Patiala House court on Saturday, all six accused—Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, Amol Shinde, Neelam Azad, Lalit Jha, and Mahesh Kumawat—were placed under judicial custody, according to police officials. Police sources claim that on December 8, all five of the accused—aside from Neelam—were flown to Gujarat to undergo polygraph testing. Furthermore, Sagar and Manoranjan have completed brain mapping and naro-analysis tests. Neelam had not given the court his permission to take the tests.
Investigations and interviews conducted thus far have shown that the accused intended to send a message to the authorities. According to the accused, their concerns stemmed from the unrest caused by farmers, the Manipur crisis, and unemployment. According to a police source, Manoranjan was the driving force behind the Parliament breach case, as shown by the results of the narco and brain mapping tests. Another source claims that some forensic reports are awaited by the investigators and that some additional individuals have not yet been questioned.
On December 13, the anniversary of the terror attack on Parliament, Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D broke major security protocols by jumping into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery during Zero Hour. They shouted slogans and released yellow gas from canisters before being overpowered by the MPs. Approximately concurrently, two additional defendants, Shinde and Azad, shouted “tanashahi nahi chalegi” and sprayed colored gas from canisters outside the Parliament building.
