Recent attack on Indian Parliament has sent the entire nation in shock. What is more shocking and alarming that some people are considering and comparing these intruders with Bhagat Singh!
That’s a big injustice to this legendary son of Bharat Mata. Bhagat Singh gave his life to throw away the foreign yolk but these intruders left no stone unturned in destabilising the government with a public mandate, the government which Indian people have chosen for themselves. The one who fought for the honour of the country is being compared with those who brought discredit to entire democratic process of the country! Bhagat Singh threw the bomb in legislative assembly because at that time he had no democratic means available, through which he could make the British listen to him. But can you imagine that in a democratic country like India where we have so much freedom of expression that every second day Prime Minister is abused for petty politics, where anyone can raise issue on multiple fronts given social media and surge of information technology were they left with only this choice to attract the attention towards their issues whatever they have. Or was this just a frustration that despite so many efforts from opposition the country loves Modi so much!
People show their love for him in election after election! Since even public is also not ready to listen to them they have used this coward technique! Remember how much efforts the government must have put in to bring India on centre stage or global politics despite being a developing country. And what this incident has done with the image of the country is quite visible with the news in the leading international papers. Those who make the hard work of India futile can’t be equal to the dust of his shoes leave being Bhagat Singh! Investigations have shown how these youngsters are related with one political party or the other.
They are just proclaiming to be unemployed but Can you imagine that unemployed people have so much money that they can travel by airplane, make and implement entire strategy effectively unless they have a big support at their back! Some of them have been active at all great protests against current governments. So these intruders were politically motivated people not the common youth! How can we glorify the vested interest with their comparison with Bhagat Singh.
There is no denial in the fact that unemployment is a major challenge for the country. But at the same time it must be understood that given such a large population and majority of them being unskilled, the solution will take time.
The way the government has launched a lot many programmes on skill development, entrepreneurship development and various financial schemes for different startups, we can clearly see the visibility of government’s concern for the same. In last five years tenure more than 13 crore people have been uplifted from poverty line. It proves that government is sincerely working on it. Given the scale of problem, solution is bound to take time. But question is will any problem justify their action of breaching the security of highest body of county’s democracy.
There are so many issues, so many problems in every country. If every one takes this route to raise their voice will not there be anarchy in the nation! Those from opposition parties who are justifying this coward and dreadful act need to look within themselves. It shows that somehow being the opposition they were not able to do justice with their roles. Either they could not raise these issues the way they should be or could not give them due weightage that despite being their presence in the parliament these intruders had to take this recourse! It shows that they have lost faith in them too! They see them incapable of raising the issues just fully that’s what they are trying to take the reins in their own hands! If in the name of opposition to Modi these acts are justified, no wonder we will lose on moral grounds as a democracy!
This attack was on national pride! It should be dealt that way! Those who committed it for whatever reasons should not be spared, with no sympathy of any kind!
