The Paris 2024 Olympics is approaching its conclusion. Today, August 10 (Saturday), marks the 15th day of the Games for India. So far, India has won a total of 6 medals over the first 14 days. On this 15th day, India could secure its 7th medal, with the wrestling events being a key opportunity, as Ritika will be competing.

Indian athletes will participate in just two sports today. In golf, Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar will be competing in the fourth and final round. So far, their performance has been less than stellar, with Aditi Ashok currently in 40th place and Diksha Dagar in 42nd place after the first three rounds. The final round of golf is scheduled to start at 12:30 PM (Indian Standard Time).

Wrestling Could Secure 7th Medal

In wrestling, Ritika will compete in the women’s freestyle 76 kg event. She is the sixth and final wrestler from the Indian team. Ritika will begin her campaign in the Round of 16, where she will face Hungary’s Bernadett Nagy. This match, scheduled for 2:30 PM (Indian Standard Time), will be the fourth bout on Mat B.

Ritika could advance further into the event, potentially reaching the finals. After the Round of 16, she will need to progress through the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and then the final match. It will be interesting to see how far Ritika can go in the competition, as India hopes for another medal from her performance.
