The team of detective staff arrested a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 5000. The accused is most wanted in Punjab. Against whom two cases of attempt to murder and obstruction of government are registered in Balongi police station, Mohali.

The arrested accused was identified as Rajeev Kumar son of Somnath resident of village Raipurrani district Panchkula. Giving information, ACP Crime Arvind Kamboj said that Inspector Nirmal Singh Detective Staff Panchkula and his team did commendable work and arrested the accused.

Inspector Detective Staff Nirmal Singh said that two cases are registered against accused Rajeev Kumar in Balongi police station, Mohali, Punjab. In which one case is registered for attempt to murder and the other for demanding ransom. In both the cases Punjab Police has a warrant.

Apart from this, Panchkula Police had kept a reward of Rs 5000 for arresting the accused. On 06 May 2022, the accused had tried to kill by firing at Ishtak Khan resident village Raumajra Ambala Mining Office by threatening royalty ransom. A case is registered against the accused in Raipurrani police station. Panchkula Police had also kept a reward of Rs 5000 for the arrest of the accused. The accused was produced before the court and taken on police remand for 4 days.
