Panchkula Municipal Commissioner reviews Kalka council operations

The Municipal Commissioner and District Municipal Commissioner of Panchkula, Sachin Gupta, chaired a review meeting on the workings of the Kalka Municipal Council. In the meeting, Commissioner Sachin Gupta instructed officials to expedite the process of upcoming tenders.
During the meeting, Commissioner Gupta then inquired about the door-to-door garbage collection, to which officials reported that it is being carried out promptly. Following this, the Commissioner discussed the MRF (Material Recovery Facility) land, and officials informed him that the land has been selected, and work is planned for constructing a road. The Commissioner directed officials to expedite road preparation and provide an estimate for the boundary wall.
In the meeting, the Commissioner instructed officials to implement road sweeping tenders as per the requirements of sanitation workers. Subsequently, Commissioner Gupta queried officials about the action taken against bulk waste generators, and officials stated that fines totaling INR 1,20,000 have been imposed. The Commissioner urged officials to expedite the process of issuing fines.
Additionally, in the meeting, Commissioner Gupta provided directives to officials to install welcome gates at the city’s entrances. He emphasized the need to ensure cleanliness on all main roads by promptly addressing solid waste and horticulture waste. The Commissioner issued strict instructions to the EXN (Executive Engineer) that all roads should be pothole-free.
Following this, Commissioner Gupta inquired about the repair and maintenance of all public toilets, and officials informed him that tenders for the repair and maintenance of public toilets are live.
In the meeting, Commissioner Gupta directed officials to initiate property sealing actions against defaulters of house tax notices, even for those who haven’t paid despite receiving notices. The meeting included EO Ravi Kumar, EXN Akshay Bharadwaj, Accountant Ram Gautam, ME Darshan Lal, JE Ajay, Ashish, and Assistant Narbir.
