Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan has announced the Vaikotthan on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, scheduled for the 12th of January. Presiding over a meeting at the auditorium of the mini Secretariat, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of ensuring maximum participation in this event, particularly encouraging the involvement of the youth to amplify the dissemination of Swami Vivekananda’s message.

Sarwan underscored Swami Vivekananda’s significant contributions to empowering both youth and women, advocating for increased participation from these demographics. He urged the development of a comprehensive route plan for the Vaikotthan, ensuring that it starts from Shalimar Mall and concludes after traversing key locations such as Vaikotthan Bus Stand, Sector 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, and 18. The walk will feature various activities organized by school children to engage and inform the citizens of the city about this significant event.
