Palace on Wheels, a heritage of Rajasthan tourism, will now be operated for religious pilgrimage as well. A route map has been prepared for visiting Ayodhya, Kashi-Mathura and other religious places. The train will return in six days after visiting religious places. The train route will run to religious places from May to August.
The special thing is that whichever route this train passes, the tune of Ram and Krishna will be heard. Only Indian passengers will be able to travel by this train. At present, this train has left from Safdarjung station in Delhi on its 16th tour on Wednesday. In this, 48 tourists from 5 countries will be taken on a tour to Rajasthan.
Till now non-veg and liquor were also being served on this train, but now after 42 years, its menu is being changed.
According to the change, there will be a complete ban on liquor and non-veg on the train. Apart from this, whatever food will be prepared, garlic and onion will be prohibited in it. Only Indian passengers will be able to go to religious places by this train.
According to Pradeep Bohra, director of Palace on Wheels, this train will be operated by private hands for 7 years. The responsibility for this has been given to Gujarat’s Cube Construction Company Private Limited.
