A Pakistani content creator has gone viral with a video showcasing herself in a traditional South Indian outfit, which has amassed over four million views. Roma Arif, based in Lahore, shared the reel dressed in a saree and blouse, complete with braided flowers, jhumka earrings, and a bindi, fully embodying the South Indian style.
Arif’s reel features the popular Instagram song “Nee Pesa Light Ah Aasa Kooda,” known for its appeal among content creators, which has further boosted the video’s popularity. The reel also includes a man with a red tilak on his forehead.

The video, posted on July 10, has gained traction on X (formerly Twitter) as well.
Arif, who has over 126,000 Instagram followers, also posted another video in the same look with the caption: “When you’re obsessed with Tamil look.”
“She’s definitely a Tamil girl,” one user remarked.
“She is making me obsessed over Tamil culture,” said another.
“Pakistanis are now cosplaying as South Indians,” commented an X user.
“In Pakistan, people are getting obsessed with South Indian movies these days,” another user noted.
Arif, clearly a fan of the viral song originally performed by Sai Abhyankkar and Sai Smriti, attempted to sing the same song in another Instagram video. However, her rendition did not resonate well with some users, who felt her voice was not suited to the song.
