Pakistani Hindu leader and Senate member Danesh Kumar Palyani expressed concern over the severe human rights crisis in Sindh, highlighting the forced conversion of Hindu girls to Islam.

He emphasized the violation of Pakistan’s constitution and Quranic principles, stating that such actions are against the fundamental rights of individuals. Palyani lamented the lack of government action against perpetrators and shared his speech on social media. He cited the abduction of Priya Kumari as an example and criticized the impunity enjoyed by influential individuals.

UN experts also condemned the lack of protection for minority women and girls in Pakistan, particularly Christians and Hindus, who are vulnerable to forced conversion, abduction, trafficking, and other abuses.

They called for an end to such violations, stressing that child marriage cannot be justified on religious or cultural grounds and emphasizing the importance of upholding women’s rights to choose their partners and ensuring access to justice and support for victims of forced marriage.
