Police in Kasur recently raided a farmhouse where a rave party was taking place. They found 55 young people involved—30 boys and 25 girls. Officers took all of them to the Mustafabad Police Station for questioning.
The raid followed reports of loud music, dancing, alcohol, and drugs. Officials later confirmed that many of those caught were children of senior Pakistan Army officers and politicians from the PML-N party.
Video of Raid Sparks Outrage
After the raid, a video showing the arrested youngsters went viral on social media. In the clip, police had lined up the youths and were filming them. Some viewers claimed officers forced the detainees to look into the camera.
This video triggered strong criticism online. People accused the police of violating the privacy of those detained.

Two Officers Suspended Over Filming
The District Police Officer (DPO) of Kasur, Essa Khan, ordered an internal investigation. Authorities discovered that two officers had filmed the detainees without permission. They were not recording the video as part of any official police work.
As a result, the DPO suspended both the Station House Officer (SHO) and the Investigating Officer (IO) involved. “The video was not recorded in any official capacity,” the police clarified later.

Raid Led by SHO Bukhari
Mustafabad SHO Saqlain Bukhari led the raid. He acted on orders from DPO Essa Khan. The officers seized alcohol and sound equipment from the farmhouse during the operation.
Kasur Police released a press statement after the raid. It included blurred images of the detainees and a list of confiscated items.
Court Orders Release of Detainees
Meanwhile, the local court reviewed the case. It ruled that there wasn’t enough evidence to keep the detainees in custody. The court dismissed the case and ordered the release of all 55 young people.
Further Inquiry Underway
The DPO assigned the Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation to carry out a full probe into the incident. The goal is to determine how the video was leaked and whether officers violated any legal or ethical rules.
