Pakistan Forces Kill 23 Terrorists in Balochistan Operations

Pakistan Forces Kill 23 Terrorists in Balochistan Operations

Pakistani security forces conducted major operations in Kalat and Harnai, Balochistan, eliminating 23 terrorists, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). These clearance operations were part of a broader anti-terror strategy aimed at curbing insurgent activities.

Major Military Operations in Balochistan

  • A total of 12 terrorists were killed on the night of January 31 – February 1 while attempting to set up roadblocks in Kalat.
  • Additional 11 terrorists were neutralized in follow-up operations in Harnai.

Security forces have increased sanitization operations across Balochistan in response to recent attacks.

TTP Militants Killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

In a separate intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan, four Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants were gunned down.

Additionally, on February 1, a fierce encounter in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali area led to the killing of six TTP terrorists. However, Pakistan Army suffered two casualties:

  • Major Hamza Israr (29 years old)
  • Sepoy Muhammad Naeem (26 years old)

Security Forces’ Ongoing Crackdown

Since December 9, Pakistan’s security forces have intensified their counter-terrorism operations, killing 43 terrorists in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The crackdown has severely disrupted militant networks, particularly Fitna-Al-Khwarij and other terror groups operating in the region.
