According to intelligence reports, Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI is trying to infiltrate over 200 terrorists into the Indian borders to carry out a major terror attack on camps of security forces on the eve of India’s Independence Day celebrations. A large number of terrorists have been mobilised in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) to infiltrate the Valley including many Pakhtuns and Afghan terrorists who are associated with the Taliban.

Sources say the Pakistani Army and ISI have more than 200 terrorists out of which around 100 Taliban are ready on the launching pad. The training of these terrorists has been done by the Special Service Group (SSG) in Afghanistan. They have been clearly instructed to carry out major attacks on the convoys and big camps of the security forces before 15 August. It has also been found in the intelligence report that Pakistan is continuously shelling to help terrorists to infiltrate along the Pakistani border.

The report also revealed that there has been an increase in the presence of Talibani, Afghani and Pathani terrorists at various launch pads for infiltration into the Kashmir valley. Senior officials of intelligence agencies have told The Daily Guardian that there have been inputs indicating plans of terrorists to carry out attacks at various districts in Jammu & Kashmir. In Kupwara, terrorists were planning a Fidayeen attack on security forces in Batargam and Gulgam of general area Trehgam. Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were planning to carry out ‘Terrorists Initiated Incident (TII)’ or ‘Terrorists Criminal Activity (TCA)’ in the Lolab area. LeT terrorists were also planning to target security personnel and vehicles in Baramulla by carrying out an IED attack in Sopore. The other target areas were likely to be Road Town Hall to Fruit Mandi in Sopore, Kupwara bypass, Baramulla highway, MRF Chowk road to village Sadhpura, and Baramulla to Handwara road. Police post Warpora was also under target alongside plans of weapon snatching in Haigan. There were inputs of unidentified terrorists planning to carry out the attack in Sangrama and Reshwari as well.

In the meantime, Jaish-eMohammed (JeM) terrorists in Srinagar were also planning an attack on a security forces’ convoy with a Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) on the road stretch between Pantha Chowk and establishments in the district. Further, Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were looking to attack in Sangam. Grenade lobbing, petrol bomb attack, IED planting, stand-off fire on security forces’ vehicles at Pantha Chowk, Babbar Shah and Habakadal areas under PS Karkhana were the other targets.

In Pulwama, intelligence inputs indicated that weapon snatching from CRPF personnel deployed along NH-44 was part of a plan of JeM terrorists and movement of JeM terrorists was noticed in the areas of Larva Kakapora, Naman and Gudibagh to carry out VBIED attack on police. JeM and LeT were also contemplating to launch IED attack on security convoy at Rajpura Chowk, Muran Chowk, Marwal and Kakapora areas under PS Kakapora, bridge between Gundibagh to Kesrigom, under construction bridge in Loru, Wanpur to Kakanore road and Pampore to Pulwaia Kodd. The Fidayeen attack was also planned by another group of Hizbul and JeM terrorists deployed in Pulwama. Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGUH) terrorists were also planning attacks on security establishments and convoys.

Unidentified terrorists in Shopian were planning to abduct police personnel and movement of such terrorists was also indicated at Penzeth and Sranso areas of Kulgam. They were aiming to carry out an attack on NH44 between Jawahar Tunnel and Vassu area of PS Qazigund. JeM terrorists were also planning to carry out an IED attack on SFs’ vehicles in Kulgam Town. In Doda, presence of LeT terrorists in village Linga/Shandoth were indicated where the terrorists had plans to carry out subversive activities by targeting civilians, security personnel, police pickets and snatching weapons.

After this ISI conspiracy, security arrangements have been tightened across the Valley and the border so that any nefarious act of Pakistan can be thwarted. According to the Intelligence Bureau, the way terrorists in the Valley have been continually wiped out by Indian security forces has angered the ISI which has clearly instructed the terrorists present in the Valley to attack BJP leaders in both rural and urban areas.
