Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore, the Minister of Skill, Planning, and Entrepreneurship, addressed the Assembly on Tuesday, providing insights into the youth allowance scheme. The scheme initially launched in 2007 as Akshat Yojana, evolved over the years.
In 2009, the term ‘Skills’ was incorporated, leading to its renaming as Akshat Kaushal Yojana. Further modifications occurred in 2012 and 2019, adapting the scheme’s name and increasing the allocated amount to align with changing times.
Minister Rathore highlighted the current status of the Chief Minister Yuva Sambal Yojana, stating that it aims to benefit a maximum of two lakh eligible youth simultaneously. Currently, the scheme is providing benefits to one lakh 86 thousand 656 eligible youth, and efforts are underway to extend the scheme’s advantages to the remaining eligible youth.
