Zirakpur Police nabs drug smuggler

Acting on confidential information, Zirakpur police apprehended an individual in possession of 5 kg of poppy. The law enforcement agency filed a case against the suspect and initiated subsequent legal proceedings.

Providing details on the incident, Investigating Officer Naib Singh stated that the police had received confidential intel indicating that Sukhwinder Singh, also known as Kaku Puttar Man Singh and a resident of Ghanour village in Patiala district, was engaged in the illicit trade of poppy. It was reported that he was actively seeking potential customers in the vicinity of Kohinoor Dhaba.

Upon intercepting and conducting a search, the police discovered five kilograms of poppy in his possession. A case has been officially registered against Singh, and further legal actions are underway in connection with the case.
