Yellow alert: Haryana to get moderate rain, respite from heat

People living in 33 cities of Haryana are going to get respite from the heat. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert with a rain forecast in each of these cities. According to the Met Department’s predictions, there are chances of light to moderate rain in these cities of Haryana state till Friday night. During this time, the rain will be accompanied by thunderstorms along with winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour.
This alert was issued on Thursday by the Chandigarh Meteorological Department in its afternoon bulletin. The cities where rain alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department include Narnaul, Ateli, Mahendragarh, Kanina, Bawal, Rewari, Kosli, Hathin, Nuh, Palwal, Tawdu, Ballabhgarh, Sohna, Gurugram, Nangal Chowdhary, Bhadra, Loharu, and Charkhi Dadri. The Meteorological Department has further informed that there is a possibility of scattered drizzle in some areas of North and South Haryana. Monsoon activity is likely to increase in the state only after 10 September.
