In a commemorative event organized by the Yadgaar-e-Rafi Society at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh, the 99th birthday of the iconic singer Mohammad Rafi was celebrated with grandeur. The musical extravaganza featured 36 singers from Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh, who paid tribute to Rafi Sahab and other renowned female singers.
The star-studded event saw the presence of famous actress Mandakini Star as the guest of honor, while Punjab Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema graced the occasion as the chief guest. The packed Tagore Theatre resonated with Rafi Sahab’s timeless tunes, showcasing the enduring popularity of the legendary singer among the audience from Tricity and the surrounding regions.
The concert highlighted the universal appeal of Rafi Sahab’s melodies, drawing music enthusiasts to partake in this exceptional celebration.
