Work to make Rajasthan world leader in tourism: Dy CM Diya Kumari instructs officials

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari reviewed the work plans and 100-day action plan of the Tourism Department at Paryatan Bhawan on Monday. She gave inputs and instructed the officials to work in a direction to make Rajasthan the world leader in tourism, quality and infrastructure facilities. She said that all the tourist destinations and places will have to be developed.

The Deputy Chief Minister said this in the presence of Principal Secretary of the Tourism Department Gayatri Rathod, Director Dr. Rashmi Sharma and departmental officials. She laid emphasis on the need to work with joint efforts of the Tourism Department as well as other departments for the overall growth and development of tourism in Rajasthan.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said to ensure more footfall and tourist movement, a comprehensive action plan needs to be created and executed.

She further added, “With coordination with various departments, better transportation facilities will have to be developed to reach tourist places. It would include rail, road and air. Similarly, the hospitality facilities for tourists around the tourist places should be improved. the entire surrounding area should be equipped with modern facilities, state of art infrastructure and hygiene. Pure drinking water and clean toilets should be developed.”

The Deputy Chief Minister directed to prepare an action plan at the departmental level to make the events of fairs and festivals more attractive in the state. Along with this, she also gave instructions to make better arrangements and develop other basic facilities at Jalmahal a popular tourist spot in Jaipur and other tourist places as well. She instructed the officials to keep all these tourist places neat, well conserved and clean.
