New Delhi: India’s total coronavirus cases reached 1,00,55,560 on Monday with 24,337 new Covid-19 cases, including 25,709 recoveries have been reported in the last 24 hours. The difference in the new recoveries outnumbering new cases has also improved the recovery rate to 95.53% on Monday. The total numbers of recovered and active cases in the country are 96,06,111 and 3,03,639 respectively. Meanwhile, the country’s death count stands at 1,45,810 after 333 fatalities recorded today.
Delhi reported 803 new Covid-19 cases, including 1,669 recoveries and 27 deaths in the last 24 hours. Total cases in the city so far is 6,17,808. The recovery toll has hiked up to 5,98,249, meanwhile the overall fatality record is 10,304. Active cases of the National Capital stand at 9,255 cases.
Maharashtra reported 3,811 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the count of infections to 18,96,518. So far, 17.84 lakh people have recovered. With 98 more people succumbing, the total tally of fatalities rose to 48,746. The state now has 62,743 active cases. Mumbai reported 586 new cases in the day, taking the cumulative tally to 2,86,850.
West Bengal reported 1,515 new Covid-19 cases, including 2,342 discharges, and 41 deaths today. Total number of cases in the state is 5,38,343 so far. The recovery toll hiked to 5,12,039 and 9,401 total deaths. Active cases in the state stand at 16,903.
Karnataka reported 772 new Covid-19 cases, including 1,261 discharges and seven deaths today. The total number of positive cases in the state is 9,10,241 so far, with 8,84,205total recoveries and 12,016 total deaths. Active cases in the state stand at 14,001.
Tamil Nadu reported 1,071 new Covid-19 cases, including 1,157 discharges, and 12 deaths in the last 24 hours. Active cases in the state now stand at 9,495 while death toll at 11,995.
Bihar reported 287 new Covid-19 cases and 443 recoveries in last 24 hours. Total number of coronavirus cases so far is 2,47,5 with 2,41,358 total recoveries and 1,358 deaths. Active cases stand at 4,814.
