Due to two days of sunshine in Haryana, the peak of winter has weakened. The maximum temperature in the state increased for the second consecutive day, reaching 24.6 degrees in Faridabad with a 7-degree rise. The Meteorological Department now predicts a change in weather from January 31, with indications of substantial rain between 1st and 2nd February due to the activation of a western disturbance.
Weather experts suggest that winter will not be as harsh as before, although there might be fog in Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal, and a few other districts. Many areas are currently cloudy. The changing weather brings the possibility of rain in some districts on January 31, marking the end of a dry period since December 1. Historically, January usually experiences good rainfall; however, this year has been an exception. Meteorologists note that it’s the first time since 2011 that January saw no rain.
Residents are finding relief from the severe cold that persisted since December 25. Extremely cold days are not expected in any district, with good sunshine reported in many areas on Saturday. Except for Karnal and Ambala, the day temperature has exceeded 20 degrees in almost all districts. Night temperatures remain unchanged, with the minimum recorded at 3.1 degrees in Hisar and Mahendragarh.S
