Wildlife dept rescues Hajin youth after leopard attack, captures predator

In a commendable display of efficiency, the Wildlife Department team in Bandipora swiftly responded to an alarming incident in Hajin, where a leopard injured a local youth.

Led by Range Officer Fida ur Rehman, the dedicated team worked tirelessly to capture the wild animal, successfully containing the potential threat to the residents of Hajin.

The victim, identified as Umar Zahoor Sofi, son of Zahoor Ahmad Sofi, received prompt medical attention at a local hospital in Hajin. Following initial treatment, he was referred to JVC Hospital for further care.

The Wildlife Department’s rapid response not only ensured the swift treatment of the injured youth but also prevented any further danger to the community.
