WIFE OF EX-MLA ARRESTED IN ILLEGAL MINING CASE

The police have obtained two days remand of former MLA Joginder Pal of Constituency Bhoa, who was arrested on Friday in an illegal mining case. His wife has also been named in this case. Pal accused the Punjab government of coercive politics. He was first given medical treatment at the Civil Hospital and later produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Daisy Bangar. Pal said that the government is playing vendetta politics. All the allegations are baseless.

He said that not only his crusher, all the crushers in the village of Maira Kalan and Keedi, and all the shamlats are on the ground. Why was the action taken against him only?SSP Pathankot Arun Saini said that when the raid was conducted, it was revealed that the Poklen machine is in the name of Krishna Crusher. It was later found that there are three partners of the said crusher. In this, Pal is a 50% shareholder of Crusher, Krishna Devi also had 25% participation in this crusher. The owner of 25% stake is with Lakshya Mahajan. The SSP said that the employees Sunil and Prakash have also been named. On the allegations of the former MLA, the SSP said that the police were not working under the pressure of the government. Law is equal for all. Whoever does wrong will be punished.
