In a journey spanning over decades Tips Industries Limited has produced many iconic songs which continue to reverberate across generations and every section of the society. Tips Cassettes and Records limited was founded in 1988 by Kumar S Taurani and Ramesh S Taurani. Tips has now emerged as a leading international film and music company.

After the success of music of the film ‘Crew’, MD of Tips Industries Limited Kumar Taurani said, “We are thrilled to celebrate the success of the Crew’s music album, which has contributed to the film’s blockbuster opening and sustained success. Congratulations to Balaji Telefilms, Anil Kapoor Films, Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, and the entire ‘Crew’ team for their hard work and dedication. Their efforts, combined with our Tips’s best seller songs, have created this milestone and set new benchmarks in the Indian entertainment landscape.”

In a candid conversation Kumar Taurani said, “Tips was started by me and my brother Ramesh Taurani in 1988. There has been many ups and down but overall I am very happy. We have collaborated with artists like Anu Malik, Jatin Lalit, AR Rahman, Pritam, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and so on.”
He further said that good music always works.

“Even now we listen to old songs. Earlier music was B2C, we used to sell directly to customers. And now we are reaching to customers through partners. Now profitability is more. My music is exclusive and there is no competition with anyone. Our only competition is to acquire the rights,” he further said.
He further said that in January Tips released ‘Merry Christmas’ and recently ‘Crew’ was launched.

“We have two companies. I handle music business. I occasionally make films. We give opportunities to new talents. We are currently producing three to four films and work is going on. There is upcoming movie ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’. Music of the film is by Rochak Kohli. We are working on script of Race 4,” he added.
